Join us on April 25th as we celebrate International Girls in ICT Day with an empowering Wikithon organized by Amazone vzw in collaboration with Women and Girls in ICT, DataNews, and Wikimedia Belgium.
Where and when do we meet? As it is an hybrid event, between 5.30pm and 8pm. You can choose from:
- On-Site: Devoteam Belgium offices at the Wings, 4th floor.
- Digital: After registration, we will provide a “Teams link to the all participants.
This Wikithon, a collaborative edit-a-thon, aims to shine a spotlight on the remarkable achievements of female figures in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Wikipedia is a powerful platform for knowledge dissemination, yet it often lacks comprehensive coverage of women’s contributions in these fields. Together, we can bridge this gap by updating existing Wikipedia pages and creating new ones dedicated to inspiring women in ICT.
Whether you’re a seasoned Wikipedia editor or a newcomer to the platform, everyone is welcome to participate. Bring your laptops and enthusiasm as we work together to amplify the voices and stories of women in STEM.
