Are you interested in learning more about how to empower women and girls in STEM fields?
Then don’t miss the upcoming Women in Tech – Inspirational talk online event featuring Berthe De Vos-Neven and Stacy Ciulik Kunz, two Soroptimist International United Nations Representatives in Geneva.
During the talk, they will share their inspiring experiences and strategies for advocating for women’s and girl’s rights at the United Nations, as well as increasing their interest and confidence in STEM activities. As representatives of Soroptimist International, both Berthe and Stacy work towards the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Education) and 5 (Gender Equality), in order to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and empowerment for all women and girls.
The upcoming UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67) in March of 2023 sets the tone of our conversation. Their driver will be “Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls” as its priority theme for the year. Therefore, an unique moment to address during the event the underrepresentation of women in STEM fields. Despite many efforts, women are still vastly underrepresented in the workplace, on boards, and in universities.
This event is an outstanding opportunity for attendees to learn from skilled advisors, on policy and regulation level at the UN, and gain valuable insights into how they have been able to make a difference for their communities.
So if you are passionate about empowering women and girls and increasing their participation in STEM fields, don’t miss this chance and register today! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to the organizers for more information.
