Devoteam Embraces Sustainable Future with New Office Building

Devoteam is making a significant stride towards sustainability with its upcoming move to a new office building. With “The Wings” building complex, the organisation has found the perfect space that aligns with its ambitious goals of collaboration, employee well-being, and environmental responsibility.

The building has achieved triple certification, meeting a comprehensive list of over 50 criteria. This achievement demonstrates the organisation’s dedication to creating a workspace that not only fosters productivity but also minimises its environmental impact.

Reducing CO2 Emissions

One of the standout features of The Wings is its utilisation of geothermal energy, making it one of the first offices in Belgium to adopt this innovative technology. The building can reduce its CO2 emissions by an impressive 70% by harnessing the Earth’s natural heat. This forward-thinking approach showcases Devoteam’s dedication to reducing its carbon footprint and combating climate change.

An Oasis of Greenery for Enhanced Well-being

Surrounded by lush green areas, The Wings offers employees a refreshing retreat from their desks. The abundance of outdoor spaces allows for breaks and collaborative activities in a natural setting. Furthermore, the office’s proximity to a bike freeway promotes eco-friendly commuting, encouraging employees to cycle rather than drive.

Paving the Way for Sustainable Mobility

Recognizing the growing popularity of electric vehicles (EVs), Devoteam has gone the extra mile by equipping several parking slots with EV charging stations. This commitment to sustainable transportation options not only supports employees with electric cars but also contributes to a cleaner urban environment.

In terms of accessibility, The Wings couldn’t be better situated. Both the Diegem’s train station and the Culligan’s tram stop are within a convenient 10-minute walk from the office. Additionally, a new tramline is currently under construction, set to have a stop right in front of the building. This multimodal connectivity underscores Devoteam’s commitment to facilitating efficient and eco-friendly commuting for its workforce.

As Devoteam prepares to move into its new sustainable headquarters, the organisation sends a powerful message about the importance of environmental responsibility. By choosing The Wings, Devoteam sets a benchmark for other companies in Belgium and beyond, showing that sustainable practices can be seamlessly integrated into the workplace without compromising productivity or comfort.
